Do I need my own instrument?
It's possible to take a lesson without having your own instrument but pretty tough to practice without one!
Can I rent an instrument?
Yes, certain instruments are available to rent for lessons.
How do I schedule a lesson?

What if I miss a lesson?
Our instructors each have their own policies regarding payment and missed lessons. Speak with them directly for more information.
How long will it take to be able to play a song?
The answer is...depends! Most students are able to play something that sounds like music after a few lessons. It's a bit like beginning skiers. Some get up and make turns right away, others it takes a bit.
Do I need to learn to read music?
Traditional note/rhythm reading is a valuable skill that our teachers encourage, and some instruments require. At minimum a simple form of notation is needed to help the student remember what to practice. Don't worry, it won't hurt a bit.
How much will I need to practice?
We recommend daily practice. And why not? This is fun! It takes time and dedication to build skill no matter what we're trying to learn. Enjoy the process.
